PM: Government approves Tech Development Concept till 2030

MOSCOW, May 25 (PRIME) -- The Russian government has developed and approved the Technological Development Concept till 2030, the authority said on Thursday on Telegram quoting Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

“The concept’s main goal is to ensure reaching of technological independence by introducing results of national research and developments,” the statement read.

Mishustin said at a government meeting that work on the document was done at strategic sessions with the participation of expert and business communities, the largest companies, scientific centers, and represeantives of the regions.

“Special attention in the concept is paid to the support of scientific research of the high and professional education, including the advanced engineering schools, and financial assistance to production, comprising state purchases and mechanisms of beneficial lending,” he said.

“We expect that the fulfilment of the set goals will raise the share of local solutions to almost 75%, and the number of specialized companies of the innovative sphere will more than double to 20,000. A system will be shaped to support such companies from creation to sale to a strategic investor that will strengthen technological independence,” he added.
